Jack's back! Join us as we welcome Jack Lasseter, well known local orator and historian. The history of the West is not just the story of men. It is the story of men and women. This is Jack's first talk on the fascinating story of some of the women on the Arizona frontier, and a tough and hardy bunch they were. But they would bring civilization to this land. He focuses on three, an Apache woman, a Spanish woman and a New England woman. They have three different stories but all poignant to the development of Arizona. Others include Chinese, African-American, Jewish, Mormon, and ranch women. Also there are governors, judges, a bridesmaid of Eleanor Roosevelt, the Captain of the "Arizona Navy", the first territorial historian, a famous painter and architect, and the last stagecoach robber.
Your ticket includes admission to the Tubac Presidio State Historic Park and Museum, light refreshments and lecture. Although, this isn’t your typical "lecture"- free from Powerpoint, sit back relax and enjoy a story that takes you back in time.

Tubac Festival of the Arts has been bringing color to the desert since 1959, and every February, the whole village transforms into an open-air gallery. More than 250 booths fill Tubac’s streets with paintings, sculpture, jewelry, photography, and one-of-a-kind finds, while local shops, galleries, and restaurants add their own flair to the mix.
Expect to spend the day wandering the streets, which are closed to cars, so wear comfy shoes and take your time browsing booths, tasting festival food, and enjoying live music. Shuttle service and parking areas make it easy to get in and out, but once you’re here, the pace is relaxed. Think sunshine, art at every turn, and plenty of chances to stop, sip, and soak it all in.

Jack's back! Join us as we welcome Jack Lasseter, well known local orator and historian, as he shares the epic story of the Buffalo soldiers out West, Black troopers in the U.S. Army after the Civil War, and their contribution during the Indian Wars.
Although we did not see them in the Western movies of our youth, they composed fully 10% of the entire U.S. Army and 20% of the cavalry in that Western army. Their story is a fascinating story, much of which occurs here in the Southwest, here in Arizona. It is a truly stirring story of American patriots that we should never forget.
Your ticket includes admission to the Tubac Presidio State Historic Park and Museum, light refreshments and lecture. Although, this isn’t your typical "lecture"- free from Powerpoint, sit back relax and enjoy a story that takes you back in time.
Remember our Community Partners meetings we had prior to Covid... well they're back!

Join public historian Alex La Pierre for a fascinating presentation that explores the maritime expeditions that charted the Gulf of California-known to the Spanish as the Sea of Cortez-and their vital role in connecting the Baja Peninsula with the greater Spanish borderlands.
Through vivid storytelling and historical insight, you'll learn the challenges, discoveries, and enduring legacies of early seafaring along this storied coastline.
Set in the storied landscape of southern Arizona, the documentary “Munguía Rancher – San Pedro River Valley” explores the enduring legacy of mestizo families who shaped the region’s ranching heritage along the San Pedro River. The film centers on Don Tomás Munguía, a 19th-century rancher whose lineage traces back to Tubac soldier Juan Manuel Ortega who was honored at the Tubac Presidio in 2018 by the Sons of the American Revolution and buried beneath St. Ann’s Church. Presented by Monica Dunbar Smith, descendant of both Munguía and Ortega.
Straight from its Off Broadway engagement, you’ve never seen a Dracula this funny! A fast-paced adaptation of Bram Stoker’s gothic classic, this laugh-out-loud reimagining blends horror, farce, and pop culture references into a whirlwind of theatrical humor. With clever with, madcap quick-changes, and theatrical antics, “Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors” is guaranteed to induce blood-curdling screams... of laughter! Perfect for audiences of all blood types.

You will learn the basic components of residential habitat and be guided through how to select plants to meet your habitat goals, construct DIY water features, explore options for rainwater harvesting, nestbox selection, and best practices for habitat management.
Celebrate Saint Patrick's Day by joining public historian Alex La Pierre for a compelling presentation that explores the dramatic story of the Batallón de San Patricio- a group of mostly Irish immigrants who fought alongside Mexico during the U.S.-Mexican War of 1846-1848.
This engaging talk examines the battalion's complex motivations, moral convictions, and enduring legacy as a symbol of cross-cultural solidarity and resistance in the shared history of the borderlands.
Jack's back! Join us as we welcome Jack Lasseter, well known local orator and historian, as he highlights what to look for as the desert emerges from its winter sleep. The Sonoran Desert, here in southern Arizona, is a special place, unique in the world, but in the Spring when it comes alive with new growth, flowers, fruit, and that brilliant display of colors, it is even more magical and unforgettable. It is truly a time to be out in the desert. You will hear about flowers, fruit, cactus, local birds and other desert animals; and most importantly you will develop a new appreciation for the desert and the natural world surrounding it.
Your ticket includes admission to the Tubac Presidio State Historic Park and Museum, light refreshments and lecture. Although, this isn’t your typical "lecture"- free from Powerpoint, sit back relax and enjoy a story about the special place we call home

This comedy follows an empty nesting Midwestern woman who takes on a lodger to help with expenses. But when the East Coast stranger arrives with a past shrouded in mystery, their unlikely friendship turns into a hilarious journey of reinvention, risk, and unexpected consequences. Reminiscent of “The Odd Couple” and Netflix’s “Grace and Frankie”, “The Roommate” is a wickedly funny and deeply moving story about second chances and self-discovery. Directed by four-time Oscar-nominated actress and veteran director Marsha Mason, who was the Associate Director of the Broadway production and has proven to be comedy gold for ATC with her two prior productions, “Chapter Two” and “An Act of God”.
