Immerse yourself in the culture of northern Mexico on this day trip to the Sonoran community of Magdalena de Kino. The town is a pueblo mágico and is famous for being the terminus of an annual pilgrimage bringing together the three cultures of the borderlands.

It is also the final resting place of Jesuit missionary, Padre Eusebio Francisco Kino. You’ll have a chance to peer down into his crypt to see the earthly remains of the explorer, cartographer, and the region’s first peacemaker.

We will see beautiful murals communicating the rich cultural heritage of the area, take in the life in the plaza and enjoy the delicious regional cuisine for breakfast and lunch. If you are curious to travel to Mexico, this is the perfect opportunity to see for yourself.

This tour starts in Nogales, AZ, where we meet and park.

Dates:
Thursday, October 19, 2023 / 8 am - 4 pm
Tuesday, December 19, 2023 / 8 am - 4 pm

RUBEN STUDDARD & CLAY AIKEN

Twenty Years | One Night Tour

Friday, October 20 at 7:30pm

Ruben &Clay are thrilled to reunite twenty years after captivating audiences during their historic run on the second season of Fox's American Idol in 2003. Both plucked from the relative obscurity of their hometowns in the South, the unlikely pair quickly became audience favorites instrumental in helping propel Idol to the top of the Nielsen ratings, nearly tripling the viewership of the previous season, and securing its place as one of the most consequential TV series in American history. Over 38 million viewers tuned in to hear the results of more than 124 million votes cast during their finale making it the most watched Idol episode in history and the highest rated regularly scheduled, live, non-sporting television episode of the 21st century. Combined they have recorded twelve albums, sold more than eight million albums worldwide, toured the country 14 times, starred together on Broadway, won four Billboard Music Awards, an American Music Award, and have been nominated for two Grammys.

Twenty | The Tour will highlight the music that made Ruben & Clay American Idol favorites and household names. From Clay’s iconic rendition of “Bridge Over Troubled Water” to Ruben’s soulful single ”Sorry”, join America's favorite odd couple for an unforgettable evening of music and memories, spanning two decades, delivered as only these true superstars can.

8th Annual Casino Del Sol Charity Golf Tournament to Benefit

I Am You 360 and Gospel Rescue Mission

Casino Del Sol is delighted to announce I Am You 360 and Gospel Rescue Mission as the beneficiaries of its 8th annual Charity Golf Tournament. Funds raised from the tournament will support the work of the two nonprofits as they provide essential services and support to the homeless.

Kimberly Van Amburg, CEO of Casino Del Sol, expressed her enthusiasm for the tournament, stating, “The Pascua Yaqui Tribe and Casino Del Sol are dedicated to creating a positive impact in our community and firmly believe in the power of collaboration and supporting local organizations. The Charity Golf Tournament is a fantastic opportunity for us to come together, raise funds and try to make a positive difference in the community by supporting these great organizations."

The Casino Del Sol Charity Golf Tournament is scheduled to take place on October 22nd and 23rd at Sewailo Golf Club. The event will bring together community leaders, businesses from across the country, and golf enthusiasts, all united in their commitment to making a difference in the lives of the homeless.

I Am You 360 is an organization committed to empowering and transforming the lives of young people experiencing homelessness. Through mentorship, educational programs and life skills development, they aim to break the cycle of homelessness and provide a pathway to success. Through programs like the green tiny home community, I Am You 360 seeks to establish gainful employment, education, healing and homeownership to break generational cycles and promote change.

Desiree Cook, founder and CEO of I Am You 360, expressed her gratitude, saying, "We are thrilled to be chosen as a beneficiary of Casino Del Sol's Charity Golf Tournament. This partnership will enable us to expand our services and support more individuals on their journey to self-sufficiency. Together, we can make a lasting impact in the lives of those experiencing homelessness."

Gospel Rescue Mission Gospel just celebrated 70 years of serving the greater Tucson area. Their comprehensive approach provides immediate assistance, a 12 month addiction recovery program, transitional housing, job training, health services and long-term solutions to help individuals and families overcome homelessness.

Lisa Chastain, CEO of Gospel Rescue Mission, shared her excitement, stating, "We are honored to be selected as a beneficiary of the Casino Del Sol Charity Golf Tournament. The funds raised will directly support our efforts to provide shelter, meals, and essential services to those experiencing homelessness.”

Casino Del Sol has hosted the Charity Golf Tournament since 2015, with the exception of 2020 when the event was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Previous beneficiaries of the tournament include The Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona, Homicide Survivors, Inc. and Youth on Their Own.

Casino Del Sol is located in Tucson, Arizona. Casino Del Sol is an enterprise of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe, a federally recognized Tribe with more than 20,000 enrolled members. Casino Del Sol's operation includes several businesses: Casino Del Sol, Casino of the Sun, Casino Del Sol Resort, Estrella at Casino Del Sol, AVA Amphitheater, Sewailo Golf Club, and the Del Sol Marketplace.
