This race is one of three in the “Orchard Series” which takes runners through the pecan orchards, giving a unique opportunity to see the farm through the seasons.
When it’s hot out there runners find a piece of heaven in the orchard. The foliage is at its fullest which creates a protective canopy. At this stage, pecans are in mid growth.

The Santa Cruz County Fair & Rodeo Association presents the Labor Day Rodeo weekend at Sonoita Fairgrounds.  The "Best Little Rodeo in Arizona" will have over 700 entries with cash & buckles awarded to the top contestants of the Southwest.  Food vendors and merchandise will be available on the grounds.  Stay for the steak fry (5:00 PM to 7:00 PM) and dance Saturday and Sunday, with live music at 7:00 PM.
